Yoshitomo NARA

Representative artist in Contemporary Art: born in 1959 in Aomori, Japan, now lives in Nasu, Japan.

Yoshitomo NARA’s most early works were illustration. In the late 1980's, he started drawing images of girls and animals, including well-known doll and puppy.

He then became one of the most iconic roles of Contemporary Art. In the late 1990's, he also did some sculpture and photograph works. The exhibition "Nobody's Fool" held at Asia Society in New York, 2010-2011.
